McLeese Lake to 10 Mile Lake

McLeese Lake to 10 Mile Lake

We saw our first big game today-two deer (one at a time). Not wildly exciting, but the first big animals we've seen this trip. We stopped near Marguerite, and got some photos of horses using an old beehive burner-from some long gone mill-as shade. No sign that there was ever any kind of mill there, so it was eith er moved, or someone decided the old burner would make a good horse barn. Who knows. Then breakfast at  a "Frontier Style" place beside the highway. Good food-not fancy.
Whenwe made it to Quesnel, we stopped at Canadian Tire, and picked up a couple of gel seat covers. I was worried that I might have saddle sores starting. They don't really solve the problem, they just move it to a different area, which works for a day or two. Finished shopping and headed out-steep climb out of town. With it being cool and rainy it wasn't bad though. I have to say that I have never really liked Quesnel-for what reason I have no real idea. I've never really spent any time there-just driven (and now ridden) through it.
We made it to 10Mile Lake Campground. They had coin op showers, which is great if you carry a bunch of coins, but when you are out in the country, and there is no attendant to get change from, its not so handy. Quick shower with the coins we had, then call it a day.
